<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball hitting device capable of preventing torsion of a club head and a mishit. <P>SOLUTION: This ball hitting device such as the golf club head (including a putter head) has a high inertia moment around its center, in particular, to contribute to prevention of torsion and mishit when the ball is hit in a position shifted by some extent from the center. The ball hitting head of the ball hitting device may have structured and a weight (has an optionally separately attachable weight element) to bring the inertia moment around the center on a ball hitting surface into at least 10,000 g/cm<SP>2</SP>, and the inertia moment may be at least 11,000 g/cm<SP>2</SP>, or even at least 12,000 g/cm<SP>2</SP>.
