<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound or a salt thereof effective for the treatment of disease states involving angiogenesis and/or increased vascular permeability, which is an effective ingredient of medicines used for providing an antiangiogenic and/or vascular permeability reducing effect in warm-blooded animals such as human beings. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The compound comprises 7-benzyloxy-4-(4-fluoro-2-methylindol-5-yloxy)-6-methoxyquinazoline or a salt thereof, and 4-(4-fluoro-2-methylindol-5-yloxy)-7-hydroxy-6-methoxyquinazoline or a salt thereof. The administration of the compound or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can treat disease states involving angiogenesis. The compound inhibits the action of the vascular endothelial cell growth factor (VEGF), which is a characteristic useful for the treatment of several disease states including cancer and rheumatoid arthritis.
