PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a crack in a fillet by decreasing a binding force of the welded fillet when a corner of a steel bridge pier is reinforced by a retrofitted fillet. SOLUTION: Two split fillet bodies 11a and 11b are separately welded to an end surface of a web 1a of a column member 1 at the corner 4 formed at a connecting portion between the column member 1 of the steel bridge pier and a beam member 2 thereof, and an end surface of a web 2a of the beam member 2. The respective fillet bodies 11a and 11b which have one-end sides welded to the column member 1 and the beam member 2, are fastened with a splice plate 12 and many high-strength bolts 13, and integrated to each other so as to reinforce the corner 4.
