PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically preserving data on a user terminal in a thin client system, by distributing it properly and efficiently to a file server or the user terminal. SOLUTION: A system capable of efficiently preserving a minimum data into a file server is provided by separately caching into a memory a system update data, such as a patch on the user terminal and a secret data to be preserved in a server, after discriminating the data when writing into a secondary memory unit, and by automatically uploading the secret data, which is to be preserved in the server, to the file server at arbitrary time, for example, when shutting down the terminal.
