The device has sound conversion units for re-transmitting decaying sound energy in the form of electrical energy to a consumer (1.5). The conversion units are mechanically, electrically or magnetically utilized to convert the sound energy into electrical energy. The conversion units are variably arranged in different forms and nature, so that components of an emission field are utilized from natural or technical processes. The conversion units accumulate the electrical energy in a storage. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing alternative energy from sound fields of natural or technical sources.
