<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which can achieve a good joining capability between insulation portions and magnetic cores, can reduce the temperature of joint interfaces during the operation of the reactor as much as possible, and can ensure an initial magnetic path length and an initial inductance performance over the entire period during a joining process of the insulation portions and the magnetic cores and the operation of the reactor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A reactor 100 is such that a plurality of magnetic cores 1 and 2 are connected together via insulation portions 5, forming a reactor core 10 having a nearly annular shape in planar view, and a coil 6 is formed in part of the reactor core 10. Each of the insulation portions 5 consists of a non-magnetic gap plate 3 and non-magnetic resin sheets 4 and 4 provided on both sides of the gap plate 3.
