<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arithmetic device allowing saving of memory capacity necessary to store a look-up table even while achieving speed-up of arithmetic processing by using the look-up table. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The arithmetic circuit 26 has: the look-up table 27 set with a prescribed arithmetic result to 2n-digit (n is an integer of ≥0) input data; and an address circuit 28 accessing the look-up table 27 based on the input data. The address circuit 28 has: a comparison circuit 281 dividing the input data into n-digit upper data and lower data, and comparing largeness of them; and a switch circuit 282 interchanging the upper data and the lower data based on a comparison result by the comparison circuit 281, and accessing the look-up table 27.
