<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine warming-up characteristics of a catalyst at the cold start with the temperature of a catalyst in a high-speed and high-load time of an engine in an exhaust manifold. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The exhaust manifold 1 collecting and exhausting exhaust gas from a multiple cylinder engine 2 is constituted such that: an upstream pipe 3a of branch pipes 31-34 in a region where temperature distribution of a wall surface is high in the high-speed and high-load time of the engine 2 is formed in a double pipe structure; and a downstream pipe 3b of the branch pipes 31-34 and a collecting pipe 5 are formed in a single pipe structure.
