<p>A portable electronic apparatus capable of emitting light is configured such that, even if the user inadvertently moves the apparatus while light is being emitted, the possibility of the light being emitted in an unintended direction is minimized. A portable telephone (1) comprises: a light emitting section (16) for emitting a laser beam; a main display section (14), a vibrating motor (17), an LED (18), a speaker (19), and a sub display section (25) which provide predetermined notification when a predetermined condition is satisfied; and a control section (11) for controlling light emitting operation performed by the light emitting section (16). The control section (11) is provided with a suppression section (24) which, when light is being emitted by the light emitting section (16), suppresses the predetermined notification performed by the main display section (14), the vibrating motor (17), the LED (18), the speaker (19), and the sub display section (25).</p> |
