PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair permitting easy and rapid assembly of a cover on the front side and a cover on the back side at accurate positions relative to a back support rod. SOLUTION: The chair 100 includes: a flange part 53Y disposed in the cover 53b on the front side and having an abutting surface 53b1 and an upper surface 53b3 as a stepped part on the rear side of the abutting surface 53b1; and a clamping part 53X disposed in the cover 53a on the back side to clamp the flange part 53Y when an abutting surface 53a1 abuts on the abutting surface 53b1. With this structure, the number of parts other than the covers 53a and 53b can be reduced or removed. By effectively reducing the labors for the parts other than the covers 53a and 53b and for tools to handle the parts, the covers can be assembled accurately but easily and rapidly.
