<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a printer to perform different processing according to a client connected thereto, the printer being directly connected to a network without interposing a server computer, and having no function of identifying the client on the network. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 having a web page generation function is configured to: receive accesses including an access for exclusively running a predetermined function of the printer 10 from the plurality of clients; transmit information for identifying each client which has transmitted a web page while included in the web page, to be stored in the client; receive the information when receiving the access from the client; determine the client in response to the received information; and change the web page transmitted to the client according to the determination. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
