PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route search device searching a fuel-efficient route for vehicles which can regenerate power, such as hybrid vehicles or electric vehicles. SOLUTION: A route search device 1 is provided with: a map data storage part 14 for storing map data of roads represented by a plurality of links and multiple kinds of cost variable values including cost variable values relating to power regeneration assigned to the respective links; a current position detecting part 10 for detecting a current position; a destination input part 12 for accepting an input of a destination; a route cost calculation part 16 that reads out cost variable values assigned to links constituting a plurality of candidate routes from the current position to the destination from the map data storage part 14 and calculates route costs of the respective candidate routes based on the read out cost values; and a route output part 18 for outputting a route the route cost of which is the lowest among the candidate routes, based on the calculated result of the route cost calculation part 16.
