A circular loom shuttle is propelled by vertically-moving pins 11 acting on a surface 30 on the shuttle, the pins being lifted by a cam 32 revolving round the axis of the loom. An opposite slope 31 serves for braking the shuttle. The crest of the cam 32 may be formed by a roller, or the whole cam may be formed by a roller or by an endless belt passing round three pulleys. The surfaces on the shuttle may be constituted by two rollers at positions 30, 31.</p> |
