The handle (11) has a fixing section (16) for fixing the handle at a cylindrical section (8) of a hand machine tool (7) and a gripping element (21) holding the handle. The gripping element has gripping sections (22, 28) arranged in different orientations to each other. The gripping element is provided with third and fourth gripping sections (33, 38). The gripping sections are connected with each other at ends by pivoting joints (26, 32) and pivoted relative to each other. The gripping sections are laterally shifted to each other. A locking mechanism is provided at the ends of the sections.
