The method involves guiding paper webs (3.1-3.4) from reel changers (6) over a forming station in a direction perpendicular to a machine escape, where the station is arranged in an intermediate space between printing towers (1). Pull-in devices are associated to double printing units (2) of the towers. The webs are deflected in respective transport directions to the towers by turning bars (7) and the pull-in devices. The webs are transferred over a deflection roller into the printing units, where the deflection roller is arranged in the pull-in devices. An independent claim is also included for a device for guiding webs into a web-fed rotary printing machine.
