摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve effectiveness of moistness securement of an electrolyte membrane in a membrane electrode assembly without depending on product water. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell 10 includes a water storage part 62 at a lower end side of an anode gas diffusion flow passage forming material 30 in a cell in respective laminated battery cells 12. Since humidified hydrogen gas is supplied to the anode gas diffusion flow passage forming material 30 via an in-flow port 57, steam becomes saturated and water droplets are formed in the anode gas diffusion flow passage forming material 30 due to a driving temperature of the fuel cell, and these water droplets run down via the anode gas diffusion flow passage forming material 30 to the lower side, and stored in the water storage part 62. This stored water passes through the membrane electrode assembly 20 to a cathode side corresponding to a steam concentration gradient to contribute to humidification of air and wetting of the electrolyte membrane by humidified air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
