<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine uniformly cooling a rotor. <P>SOLUTION: A motor generator 10 as a rotating electrical machine includes: a rotor 21; a rotor shaft 51 which rotates together with the rotor 21; and end plates 31 and 36 which are provided at both ends of the rotor 21. Oil passages 60 and 70 are formed in the rotor shaft 51, the oil passages being provided independently of each other and in which oil circulates. Oil passages 32 and 37 which communicate with oil passages 60 and 70, respectively, and guide oil to a rotor 21, are formed in end plates 31 and 36. The oil passages 60 and 32 are formed so that the vector components of oil flow may not face each other in the axial direction of the central axis 101, on their paths.
