PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve use convenience in a lock device for a door by increasing the speed of unlocking operation. SOLUTION: The lock device includes an electric lock part 4 including a dead bolt 3, the bolt being driven between locking and unlocking positions with a dead bolt driving actuator 1 and regulating the opening operation of a door 2 in the locking position; a read-ahead part 6 which outputs an answer request signal to a portable device 5 carried by a user, the portable device outputting authentication ID signal in response to the answer request signal, at predetermined time intervals, and stores an authentication result for the received ID signal; an electric lock control part 7 which unlock-drives the electric lock part 4 on condition that authentication establishment information is stored in the look-ahead part 6, maintains the unlock state until the information stored in the read-ahead part is changed to authentication non-establishment, and then performs shifting to the lock state; and a latch part 10 which includes a latch 9, the latch being engagingly locked to a door frame 8 by projecting from the door 2, and releasing the locking state with the door frame 8 in a recessed state to the door 2.
