PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device, an authentication method, and a computer readable recording medium for improving convenience for an authenticated person. SOLUTION: The authentication device is provided with: a blood vessel information acquisition part which is installed at a position different from an operation object operated by a user and acquires blood vessel information about a user when at least a part of the operation object is gripped by a part of the user's body; an authentication part for authenticating a user on the basis of the blood vessel information acquired by the blood vessel information acquisition part; and a determination part for determining whether or not processing executed in response to operation of the operation object is executed on the basis of the authentication result by the authentication part.
