PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an asphalt adhesion preventive agent, having excellent storage stability, high preventing ability against adhesion of asphalt on metal and maintaining the adhesion preventing effect. SOLUTION: The asphalt adhesion preventive agent contains: 0.5 to 10 mass% of (A) a copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 2,000 to 100,000 prepared by polymerizing a compound expressed by formula (1) and maleic acid anhydride by a molar ratio of 4:6 to 8:2, or a hydrolyzed product or a salt of the copolymer; 70 to 95 mass% of (B) water-soluble polyhydric alcohol; and 4.5 to 29.5 mass% of (C) water.
