PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a neat appearance of a device which can adjust the height of a headrest without largely exposing its height adjusting mechanism to the exterior. SOLUTION: The headrest 17 has a frame-like body 25 which is open from front to back. The body 25 is covered with a sheet-like support 22. There is a space between the side 25a of the body 25 and the sheet-like support 22. A vertically long recess 31 whose right and left insides are open is formed by fixing a rail 30 to the front face of the body 25 in this space. The guide 32a of the arm 32 is fitted in the vertically long recess 31. The arm 32 is fixed to a head strut 16. The headrest 17 is guided by the guide 32a of the arm 32 and moves up and down.
