PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor body in which both a TEDS function and a remote sensing function are implemented without impairing accuracy in the measurement or versatility. SOLUTION: The sensor body includes: a sensor circuit 16 for outputting an electrical signal according to the physical quantity of a measured subject; a TEDS 18 for storing information regarding the sensor body; a sensor information line 32 which is connected to the TEDS 18; a remote sensing line 34 for outputting a signal indicating the amount of a variation in a driving voltage that is applied to the sensor circuit 16; and an F terminal and a G terminal which are connected to the sensor information line 32 or the remote sensing line 34 through changeover switches 42, 44 so as to be switchable. A control section 20 controls the drive of the changeover switches 42, 44 so that connection is established between the remote sensing line 34 and the F terminal or the G terminal only when the driving voltage is applied.
