The lock has a parking lock wheel that is connected with a drive of a gear, and a ratchet (5) that is rotatably mounted on a gear housing (1). A ratchet tooth (7) of the ratchet for fixing the wheel is positively pivoted into a tooth profile of the wheel. A plate (14) hydraulically absorbs pivoting movements (8, 9) of the ratchet. The plate is arranged in an oil sump (3) of the gear. The plate is rigidly or articulatedly connected with the ratchet such that the plate translationally and freely moves perpendicular to a plate base (15) in the oil sump during each pivoting movement of ratchet.
