<p>An apparatus for organic-wastewater treatment with which sewage, human waste, and other organic wastewater are purified. The apparatus can have a smaller size and is effective in reducing the amounts of consumable supplies for use in the water treatment, such as a coagulant and a filtration film, and in shortening the time necessary for wastewater treatment. A reduction in running cost can be attained. Also provided is a method of treating an organic wastewater. The apparatus for organic-wastewater treatment comprises: a wastewater treatment tank (2) in which an organic wastewater containing organic substances is purified with the aid of a useful microorganism and a silicon compound coagulant; an active-oxygen feeder (3) which feeds active oxygen such as superoxide anions to the tank (2); and a filter (4) with which the wastewater treated is filtered.</p> |
