<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a catalytic reaction superior in efficiency while simplifying constitution of a carbon monoxide reducing device. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell system 1 includes a reformer 5 and the carbon monoxide reducing devices (6, 8) to form a hydrogen containing gas in which carbon monoxide is reduced. The reformer and/or the carbon monoxide reducing devices (6, 8) are equipped with a case body 61 which is formed in a box-shape and in which carbon monoxide reducing catalyst S is loaded, a cooling tube 62 to cool the carbon monoxide reducingn catalyst S, a gas diffusion chamber 63 having an inflow port 63a into which a reformer gas G1 is introduced, a catalytic reaction chamber 65 communicated with the gas diffusion chamber 63 via a first dispersion plate 64, a gas focusing chamber 67 which is communicated with the catalytic reaction chamber 65 via a second dispersion plate 66 and which includes an outflow port 67a, and a support plate 68 which is fixed to the case body 61 and in which the first dispersion plate 64 and the second dispersion plate 66 are coupled and supported. At the support plate 68, a circulation hole 68a is installed in which a reformed gas G2' flowing into a gap between the support plate 68 and the case body 61 is made to be circulated into the catalytic reaction chamber 65. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
