<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ferrite particles or ferrite powders having excellent orientation, filling property and magnetic characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite particle contains a hexagonal ferrite and has the plate ratio of <1.5 and the plate diameter of ≤40 nm. The ferrite powder includes a plurality of ferrite particles and has the average plate ratio of <1.5 and the average plate diameter of ≤40 nm. A production method includes a step of synthesizing a ferrite precursor by a liquid phase reaction method and a step of synthesizing the ferrite particle by heat-treating the ferrite precursor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
