PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system suppressing unneeded communication and acquiring the latest information for information relating to a road. SOLUTION: The information processing system has: on-vehicle equipment including a storage section for storing road-related information including information relating to a road and an on-vehicle control section for transmitting pattern identification information corresponding to a specific pattern to the outside when detecting the specific pattern from imaging data on a road surface and storing the road-related information at the storage section and displaying the information at a display section when receiving road-related information corresponding to the pattern identification information from the outside; and an information processor including a storage section for storing the road-related information corresponding to the pattern identification information, and a control section for reading the stored road-related information along with the pattern identification information from the storage section for transmitting to the on-vehicle equipment when receiving the pattern identification information from the on-vehicle equipment.
