<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation preventing instrument of a tension adjusting device, which can be mounted to cover the whole circumference of the tension adjusting bolt in a simple structure so as to suppress the manufacturing costs and can prevent the bolt from falling, even if it receives an impact from the radial direction of the tension adjusting bolt. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotation preventing instrument 20 includes a through-hole 23 in which the tension adjusting bolts 3, 4 can be inserted and is provided with a bolt insertion hole 26 extending along the radial direction of the through-hole 23 for communicating the through-hole 23 with the outside. A shape of the through-hole 23 projected along the axial direction is made to be a square shape in which the maximum outline dimension L3 running through the center of the through-hole 23 is larger than inner width L1 along the short direction of the radial direction of a penetration hole 5 of the tension adjusting device 1, and the minimum outline dimension L2 running through the center of the through-hole 23 is the same as or smaller than the inner width L1 along the short direction of the radial direction of the penetration hole 5 of the tension adjusting device 1.
