PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for adjusting a cutting blade of a boring tool capable of automatically adjusting a projection amount of the cutting blade. SOLUTION: The method for adjusting the cutting blade 45 of the boring tool adjusts the projection amount t of the cutting blade 45 in the radial direction of a rotary holder 44 by turning an adjustment pin 49 that has an engaging portion 491 exposed from the rotary holder 44. The method includes a projection amount measuring step of measuring the projection amount t of the cutting blade 45 by a projection amount measuring sensor 51, and a projection amount changing step of changing the projection amount t of the cutting blade 45 by engaging an adjustment tool turning body 62 with the engaging portion 491, turning the adjustment tool turning body 62, then turning the adjustment pin 49. A turning amount u of the adjustment tool turning body 62 of the projection amount changing step is determined based on the projection amount t of the cutting blade 45 measured by the projection amount measuring step.
