The apparatus has a standard deviation calculating section calculating a standard deviation of a probability density function. A spectrum calculating section calculates a spectrum of the probability density function, and a null frequency detecting section detects a null frequency of the spectrum. A ratio calculating section calculates ratio between a top portion and a bottom portion of a distribution of a deterministic component based on the standard deviation of the probability density function and the null frequency of the spectrum. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for identifying a distribution shape of a deterministic component (2) a test system for testing a communication device under test, comprising a measuring section (3) an electronic device for generating a prescribed signal, comprising an operation circuit.
