The tool (1) has an operating head (4) connected with a base element (2) via a connecting element (3). Workpiece receivers (5, 6) are positioned perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the base element and/or the head such that two workpieces (10, 11) received in the receivers are aligned in a longitudinal direction. The receivers are formed as a joint bracket and/or a clamp. The connecting element has a motor-driven spindle and adjusts distance between the head and the base element.
