A compound having excellent TAFIa inhibitory activity.  Specifically disclosed is a compound represented by formula (I) or a salt thereof. In the formula, A represents a benzene ring or a pyridine ring; X represents -(CH2)-, -(CH2)2-, an oxygen atom, a nitrogen atom or a single bond; Y represents -(CH2)3-NH-R3, -(CH2)4-NH-R3 or a 2-aminopyridyl group; R3 represents a hydrogen atom or the like; R1 represents a hydrogen atom or the like; R2 represents CO2R8, a tetrazolyl group or the like; R8 represents a hydrogen atom, a C1-10 alkyl group or a group having a structure of formula (Ib) or (Ic); and m and n each represents an integer of 0 or 1.
