<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor for reducing crack generation at porous or periphery parts of gas sensor elements, achieving stable output for a long period, and suppressing fluctuation of sensor outputs between different sensors. <P>SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 has a plate-like gas sensor element 5 including a first cell 113, a shield 115, and a measurement chamber 112d partitioned by a porous part 117; in which an outside 117a, opposite to an inside 117b facing to the measurement chamber 112d of the porous part 117, is disposed in parallel with one of the side of the first cell 113 and the side of the shield 115 extending to laminating direction; and height H of the outside 117a of the porous part 117 from a reference side S is ±1.5% or less of height L from the outside 117a to the inside 117b of the porous part 117 in relation to the reference side S based on the side of the first cell 113 and the side of the shield 115. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
