<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an OLED display configured to solve a problem where the efficiency of an OLED material is low and a battery has a short life. <P>SOLUTION: The OLED display has a monochrome display function of switching from a color display to a monochrome display in accordance with a monochrome mode signal from the external part. When receiving the monochrome mode signal, video data to be used for color-display is supplied as it is, to a data line corresponding to one monochrome sub pixel selected to be used for monochrome display, out of a plurality of sub pixels constituting a single pixel, and black data not allowing the OLED to emit light is supplied to a data line corresponding to the sub pixel other than the monochrome sub pixels, the monochrome display function is achieved thereby. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
