<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to readily replace a cartridge by improving the operability, in an image forming apparatus 100 that forms an image on a recording medium S. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus with a drawer tray 61 for storing a cartridge has a slide member 71, that is operated in synchronization with the opening/closing of the door 31. When the door is to be opened, a part of the tray 61 is caused to pop out from the inside of the body of the apparatus by the forward movement of the slide member 71. When the door is to be closed, the tray 61 is moved to the inside of the body of the apparatus by the backward movement of the slide member 71. Since the tray 61 is operated in synchronization with the opening/closing of the door 31, operability of the tray 61 and replacement of the cartridge are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
