WAVEGUIDE SLOT ARRAY ANTENNA, METHOD OF DESIGNING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide slot array antenna without requiring repeated corrective calculation by considering interaction between slots in the design of the antenna. SOLUTION: The waveguide slot array antenna includes: a base plate having a waveguide wall partitioning a radiation waveguide; a slot plate with a plurality of slots protrusively formed at positions corresponding to respective radiation waveguides of the base plate to extend along the longitudinal direction; and a flat interference cutoff plate superposed on the base plate by interposing the slot plate therebetween. Cavities are formed at positions corresponding to the slots on the interference cutoff plate. The cavity has an open type choke structure, and interference between the slot inside the cavity and the slot outside the cavity is cut off. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
