PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging apparatus 100 which suppresses the occurrence of a potential barrier and potential pocket in a charge transfer packet (a potential well) formed on an accumulation transfer diffusion layer 130a, and to reduce charges which are left because of transfer deterioration. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging apparatus 100 includes an accumulation transfer part 130 provided between a vertical transfer part 120 and a horizontal transfer part 140. A diffusion layer (the accumulation transfer diffusion layer) 130a for forming the accumulation transfer part 130 has a plain surface shape in which a width does not rapidly increase but continuously and gradually increases between a diffusion layer (a vertical transfer diffusion layer) 120a for forming the vertical transfer part 120 and a diffusion layer (a horizontal transfer diffusion layer) 140a for forming the horizontal transfer part 140.
