<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold device equipped with an air booster capable of surely positioning a movable mold and a fixed mold. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This mold device includes: the fixed mold 13; at least four guide pins 16 projected from the fixed mold 13; the movable mold 15 guided by the guide pins 16, and capable of advancing and retracting with respect to the fixed mold 13; and the air booster 18 incorporated instead of at least two guide pins out of the guide pins 16. The air booster 18 includes a cylinder 31 having a tapered guide part 65 in a tip part, and a bush 19 having a taper guide receiving part 66 for positioning the movable mold 15 and the fixed mold 13 by engagement with the tapered guide part 65 when clamping the mold, compresses air when a piston 32 inside the cylinder 31 is pushed into the cylinder 31 by mold clamping means of the fixed mold 13 and the movable mold 15, forms therein the third chamber 67 where air pressure is increased by a free piston 52 retracting against a coil spring 62 as an energizing means, and discharges the boosted air.
