An air conditioner provided with a fan guard which can be easily assembled and is configured so that horizontal bars are less likely to come out of vertical bars. An air conditioner is provided with a housing for containing an air delivery fan (18) and having a discharge opening (17f) for discharging airflow formed by the air delivery fan (18), and the air conditioner is also provided with a fan guard assembly (21) mounted in the housing so as to be located between the air delivery fan (18) and the discharge opening (17f). The fan guard assembly (21) is provided with a first member (30) having projections (50-55) projecting so as to form retaining grooves, and also with a second member retained in the retaining grooves in the first member (30). In a side view, the projections (50-55) project so as to intersect rectilinear lines (L1-L6) passing through center points (C40-C45) on the second member retained in the holding grooves and through an arbitrary point (P1) located on the edge (V) of the discharge opening (17f). |
