A changeover switch comprises two electronic switches T 1 , T 2 (the Figure not shown) for connecting alternative inputs + U, - U to a common output terminal A and a normally saturated inductor connected in series between the switches so that if excess current flows, as when both switches are on simultaneously, the inductor comes out of saturation and further increase of current is therefore prevented. The inductor may be saturated by current in a separate winding not illustrated and inductive feedback may be provided so that when one switch is rendered non-conducting a blocking pulse is fed to the other. |
