<p>The snow chain consists of a plurality of guiding shoes (1) with means for resilient fastening to a tyre, joined together by means of perimetral hinging means. Advantageously the perimetral hinging means are links (2) and the guiding shoes (1) made of rod-like material are pincer-shaped and consist of two longitudinal segments (3) which embrace the tyre and two transverse segments (4) in the tyre tread zone, being connected to each other by means of four joining segments (5) which are inclined at a certain angle when the chain is extended on the ground. A plurality of spacing sleeves (6) keep the links (2) transversely in position. The resilient fastening means are formed in one embodiment by the joining segments (5), which ensure flexibility, and by the longitudinal segments (3), which ensure friction.</p> |
