<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaccine effective for some or all of HIV regulatory/accessory proteins, having reduced risk of exhibiting undesirable side actions because of decrease in functions of regulatory/accessory HIV proteins in the vaccine than that of natural regulatory/accessory proteins, and inducing immunological response same as that of natural HIV proteins. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided fusion proteins comprising the amino acid sequence of at least four HIV proteins selected from Vif, Vpr, Vpu, Vpx, Rev, Tat and Nef or derivatives of the amino acid sequence of one or more of the proteins, wherein the fusion protein is not processed to individual HIV proteins having the natural N terminals and C terminals. Nucleic acids encoding the proteins, vectors comprising the nucleic acids, and methods for producing the proteins are also provided. Further, the fusion protein, the nucleic acids and the vectors are usable as vaccines for preventing HIV infections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
