<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device preventing steering force for linearly traveling a vehicle on a slant road from being reduced, when a tire air pressure detection system for detecting tire air pressure of a vehicle fails. <P>SOLUTION: This electric power steering device 1 imparts auxiliary torque for the slant road for reducing steering force when the vehicle V travels on the slant road inclined in a horizontal direction to a turning mechanism.
