PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent roll paper from being sandwiched in conjunction with opening/closing of a roll paper cover. SOLUTION: In a recording apparatus, a cover 32 is provided at the setting part of a roll body R. The cover 32 is provided so that a closed state of covering the upper region of the set roll body R can be achieved when the cover is turned about a turning pivot point and so that an open state of opening the upper region is achieved when the cover is turned toward the back of the apparatus from the closed state. The cover 32 forms a gap between a rear end 32a thereof and a frame 30 in the open state. A projection preventing member 31, which prevents a roll paper distal end from projecting from the gap, is provided. Thus, the roll paper is prevented from being sandwiched by the cover 32.
