PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope device that can remove liquid from the observation viewing field of a dry system objective lens when switching from a liquid-immersed objective lens to the dry system objective lens. SOLUTION: This microscope device 100 includes: a sample XY stage 1 for placing a sample; the dry system objective lens 5 and the liquid-immersed objective lens 4 which focus light from the sample; a movable revolver 6 in which either one of these objective lenses is alternatively arranged at a position opposing to the sample; and a control part which controls the sample XY stage 1 and the movable revolver 6 to change the relative position in the XY direction till when the liquid-immersed objective lens 4 be arranged in a non-observation region of the dry system objective lens 5 before switching of the objective lenses.
