PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a drive unit for advancing a casting mold to a nozzle so as not to be affected by a temperature generated by a die casting machine. SOLUTION: One drive unit (14) is fixed to a lateral member of a machine rack spread over a crucible (11), and another drive unit (14) is fixed to a fixed mold-fixing plate (8) of a mold clamping device. A casting opening bush (30) of a half part of the casting mold (31) fixed to the mold-fixing plate is pushed to a nozzle tip end (29a) during casting. The drive units are linearly driven by an electromotive servomotor (17) via a miter gear device, and the sending velocity thereof is controllable. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
