<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processing device capable of reducing a load on a driving mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a storage 16 of the bill processing device, a bill BNa whose main surface is pressed by a pressing means by a kick roller 23, is carried in the predetermined carrying direction by rotating, and is separated into one sheet by springing up the bill BNa by reversely rotating to rotation of the kick roller 23 in a state of carrying the bill BNa by the kick roller 23 by a winding roller 24 separately arranged in the carrying direction from an arranging position of the kick roller 23, and the bill BNa separated into the one sheet is also carried by rubbing a reverse surface on the opposite side of the main surface.
