<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device capable of preventing appearance from being spoiled by the fact that dust, etc. invading inside a key sheet is seen from a transparent part of a key top sheet. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An elastic member 24 is provided between a housing 20 and the key sheet 50 housed inside the housing 20, and part of at least one of a slide sheet 54 and an arm 54a is pressed along the thickness direction of the slide sheet 54 by the elastic member 24. Namely, when the elastic member 24 pressurizes the slide sheet 54, the arm 54a provided in the slide sheet 54 regulates movement of the dust, etc. invading from an opening 56a to be exposed to the outside of the key sheet 50. In addition, when the elastic member 24 pressurizes the arm 54a, invasion of the dust, etc. from the opening 56a is prevented. Thus, the dust, etc. reaches a first signage part 58 and a second signage part 59 of the slide sheet 54, is visually recognized from the outside via the transparent part 51a provided in the key top sheet 51, and spoiling of the appearance can be prevented.
