<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning device which is easy in assembling a heavy-loaded welded construction, and can shorten a work time by eliminating the waste of a material for use, and an assembling method of the welded construction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The positioning device includes: an interval regulating jig 5 having a first member attachment part 51 which can detachably be attached to a first member 21, and a second member holding part 52 which is firmly arranged at the first member attachment part, and can place a second member 22 at the end of a reverse attachment side, and holding an interval between the first and second members at a prescribed dimension; and a fixing jig 6 which is detachably formed so as to be capable of mutually fixing the second member holding part and the second member when the second member is placed on the second member holding part.
