<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel having superior gripping-keeping properties compared to those of conventional reels, and having a handle excellent in easiness of maintenance and economy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fishing reel having the handle for driving a spool for winding, freely rotatably supported by a reel body is constituted as follows. The handle is constituted of a handle arm linked to a driving mechanism for the winding, attached to the reel body, a cylindrical supporting member supported by the terminal part of the handle so as to be freely rotatable and so as to be prevented from dropping out, and having an attachment-supporting part formed on the opposite side of the handle arm in the longitudinal direction, and a knob body attached to the attachment-supporting part, and only consisting of a gripping part formed out of a flexible material having a curved outer periphery shape.
